Class Details
This Spanish 1 Overview class is geared towards high school students who are either new to Spanish or for those who need a review of Spanish 1 before advancing to Spanish 2. This class moves quickly and will cover a wide range of material in a short period of time. Mrs.Deerhake will provide any necessary materials prior to class.
This week’s class focuses on introductions, Hispanic culture and geography, and basic foundational vocabulary (weather, numbers, alphabet, etc.).
Recommended for high school students.

Christine DeerhakeMrs. Christine Deerhake became an educator in 2008 when she earned her Education degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Upon graduation, she moved to the Dominican Republic where she taught for 6 ½ years. During her time in the D.R., she worked in various educational settings in both the public and private sectors. In 2015, she moved back to the United States and began working in homeschool settings. Teaching is one of Mrs.Christine’s biggest passions, but some other things that bring her joy and happiness are the Gospel of Jesus, spending time with family and friends, and anything the color purple!
