Class Details

Young Writers Online is geared towards students grades 2-4 needing more writing experiences. This class will teach how to write a great complete sentence in a fun way.  The large goal will be to make good sentences into great paragraphs.  The immediate goal is to help all students write better and enjoy doing it more than they do now.  Each 50 minute lesson will teach basic skills/facts independent of other lessons so students can join any week. No text, no homework needed.

This week’s lesson is on adding a subject.

Recommended for grades 2-4

Instructor

Carli BeckerCarli is a teacher, tutor, artist, and occasionally, an actress. She has been teaching in public, private, and homeschool tutorials for many years. Working with young minds, she strives to instill a love of learning. She has had the opportunity to teach and tutor a variety of subjects to students in K-12, even tutoring some college students. There is joy she finds in working with each age group and subject. Her classes have movement, laughter, and engagement to help students learn and grow. She has taught art, drama, grammar, life skills, Christian history, American history, writing, and literature. She loves seeing students engage in lessons she teaches, either in whole group or tutoring sessions. Carli homeschooled both of her children, during which time she and her husband ran a college ministry at MTSU. Now he works as a computer “genius” in Nashville and Carli spends her time tutoring and teaching. In their spare time, they enjoy ballroom dancing, trying new recipes, and traveling.
